Department Environment Forestry and Fisheries invites unemployed youth to apply for the following Government entry level positions.

 

Position: Records Clerk (Registry Clerk)

Job level: Grade 12 / Junior / Entry level SA Government Jobs

Salary: R173 703 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of incoming mail and correspondence.
  • Administer and maintain files;
  • Receive documents for disposal in terms of the National Archives Act.
  • Provide registry counter service; process departmental mail in line with the applicable prescripts.
  • Despatch of departmental mail/file and correspondence;
  • Ensure that official documents and correspondence are processed.

Requirements:

  • A Grade 12 plus relevant experience in records management.
  • Knowledge of registry processes and practices as well as the ability to capture data.
  • Knowledge of storage and retrieval procedures in terms of the working environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislative frameworks governing the Public Service.


Competencies:

  • Good communications and computer skills.
  • Planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
